The Apostolic Prelature of Corocoro lies high in the Andes in one of the poorest regions of Bolivia where 80% of the population live in extreme poverty. Even things like access to clean drinking water and adequate nutrition are by no means guaranteed to say nothing of the need for medical care. Most of the people live in small and remote villages which are difficult to access given the rugged terrain. The roads are dangerous, difficult, and quite often impassable in the rainy season.

The Missionary Sisters of Jesus the Eternal Priest are a congregation founded in Italy in 1947. They work here in the prelature with selfless devotion, caring for the poorest families, the neglected elderly, the lonely and orphaned children. They also work with people with disabilities and instruct the children and young people in the Faith, preparing them for receiving the Sacraments. Their work is a blessing for many people.

For now the sisters are housed temporarily in Quime, a very small village where there is often not even enough water to drink. The bishop would like them to build a convent on a plot of land belonging to the Church in the small town of Patacamaya where the prelature has its seat. We need 38,000 to help the sisters. Will you help us?
